The color of the athletic clothing adds to the “jock” persona, representing Johnny Whyte’s superiority in the school. 

Spirit Monster

Black color represents the evil nature of the creature and the mystery that exists in its origin.

The set simply resonates inside of a school. Parts of the sequence has a dark filter which supports the genre of the film being horror. The appearance of blood gives indication of the film’s genre being horror. Another thing  is going to add to a chilling tone is the movement of  the spirit monster, which can vaguely seen by the audience.

Black 

Meant to show evil presence of the spirit monster 

The spirit monster will be in all black clothing to show it’s devoid of really anything besides malice

Black will be used in appearances of the spirit monster

Red

Used to signify blood, which indicates death. 

The color red will be used to show blood 

Red will be used at the murder scene 

Purple

Purple is meant to show superiority/royalty.

It will be used on Johnny's costume to show his social status in the school. 

Purple will be used as clothing, to show Johnny Whyte’s superiority as an athlete.
