Media Studies Poem

 The following piece is a Poem describing the influence of Media has on our lives. My poem speaks on the power and inspiration that could be acquired from media products. 

Ideas that transform.

The media makes me informed.

Some see just as another the source of entertainment,

But I ponder for the deeper message, searching ideas that transform.

Ideas that are not just a simple text or statement.

 

Ideas are the  music that helps me escape my mind,

The films with messages that run the oceans the deep

Books with plots that bring me to another time.

The speeches that connect to the core of my soul; my strength so complete

 

Media creates movements, it educates.

Some messages bring division, but others unify

It’s used silence others, but for others help communicate

The more I watch, the more I seek it, my knowledge amplify.
